The Daily Telegraph reports on the  opening of the Green Skills Academy in Tredegar in South Wales by British Gas.  The centre has the potential to train up to 1,300 people per year in green energy skills.

Labour and green jobs

The Guardian newspaper reports that the government may not reach its target of some 400,000 green jobs by 2015.  It is interesting to note that both the North East and East of England, areas earmarked as hubs for green jobs, actually saw a decline in green jobs.  More is here.
